Kanye West gave the illusion that he can walk on water during an uplifting edition of his Sunday service ceremonies, the last one held in Atlanta, where he was joined by his wife Kim Kardashian and their children.
The 43-year-old rap superstar gathered his powerful Sunday service gospel choir for a performance from the middle of a lake on Sunday as the sun set in the distance.
The group of singers crossed the water, apparently walking on the water as they walked to a point in the middle of the lake where they sang religious songs.
While Kanye and his own children then walked to the same lake as the choir sang a rendition of O Fortuna by Carmina Burana by Carl Orff with English lyrics including: “Jesus is love.”
Kanye calmly walked through the low waves and breaking the North and Saint children with him, while his wife Kim, safe and dry on the lake shore, filmed them.
He shared images from the event on Instagram stories.
During the ceremony, American pastor and tele-evangelist Joel Osteen gave a speech while walking on the water.
He made reference to the seemingly biblical acts that take place before his eyes, and also referred to the “genius” of the Sunday Service orchestrator, Kanye.
He said: “Seeing these good men and women sing, it seems they are walking on water. My mind goes back to the moment when Jesus invited Peter to walk on the water. I imagine Peter thought ‘Jesus, what are you talking about? That’s impossible! I can not do this! “
“I think we all have that at times in life when we think ‘God is telling me to do something. I feel it inside. ‘ But we don’t feel quantified and we don’t have the experience. “
He continued, “I can’t sing like them, or I can’t invent like Kanye. That is for someone else. But God doesn’t put a dream in your heart and then He doesn’t give you the ability to do it. I have learned in life that you have to choose between your comfort and your calling. “
The family reunion may support hopes that Kim and Kanye are mending their damaged marriage.
The couple have seen their union falter in recent months amid allegations that Kanye has been trying to divorce his reality star wife for two years.
In July, Kanye, who is currently campaigning for the 2020 presidential election, raised the alarm during a political rally in South Carolina in which he claimed that he and Kim had considered aborting their eldest child when they first discovered time they were waiting.
Kim and Kanye were seen in crisis talks shortly thereafter in Wyoming, where Kanye has been through most of the coronavirus pandemic, amid rumors that their marriage was on the brink of collapse.
Since then, they have been seen in Costa Rica on a seemingly decisive vacation, while Sunday showed the duo spending time together in Atlanta.
