JOHANNESBURG – Mamelodi Sundowns has been officially crowned the winner of the 2019/20 Premier Soccer League season after claiming a 2-0 win over Black Leopards.
This marks coach Pitso Mosimane’s fifth league title, making it a historic victory.
It is also the Sundowns’ third straight title and 10th overall.
The record leaders Kaizer Chiefs came into the day leading on goal difference, but Baroka held them to a full draw, denying them the title.
It’s a sad day for Kaizer Chiefs, who needed a win from today’s game to take the title. AmaKhosi drew 1-1 with Baroka FC.
This also sees Baroka avoid the descent by finishing third from the bottom.

In their final game, after nearly a century in world-class football, Bidvest Wits managed a 3-1 victory over Maritzburg United, with Gavin Hunt and his Chargers finishing fourth overall.
