Reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano has contradicted what the English press says about Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho, particularly Sky Sports.
The talented Englishman is Manchester United’s highest priority target for the summer, but signing him has proven difficult so far and the potential transfer is turning into a saga.
Sky reported yesterday that the actual transfer fee to sign Sancho is not the problem and that the real delay lies in the agent fees and the player’s salary.
United have so far failed in their bid to sign the young winger and, on paper, it seems they turned their attention to Donny van de Beek and now Sergio Reguilon.
Sancho would attend to the most urgent need of the club, which is an investment in his right flank since he has been neglected for some time.

Romano stands firm, having long held the view that Sancho’s salaries weren’t a problem, and now confirms that agents’ fees aren’t an issue either.
The journalist has a long history of accuracy, while the English media are often susceptible to reports they receive from the club.
It seems Manchester United want the fans to think that is the main obstacle, perhaps to save face.
The German press has also been equally guilty of being essentially a spokesperson for Borussia Dortmund.
