The murdered Eldorado Park teenager who died last week, allegedly at the hands of police officers, was buried early Saturday morning.
Residents in the area awoke to scenes of his coffin being transported down the street to his family’s home where the funeral was held.
Due to the Covid-19 funeral protocols, residents of the area gathered along the street, at some distance from the home to pay their last respects without circumventing the Covid-19 protocols.
The service was followed by an honor guard who saw her coffin moved to a church near her home.
Thereafter, Nathaniel was transported to his final resting place at Klipspruit West Cemetery.
The death of the 16-year-old, who had Down syndrome, sparked outrage both in Eldorado Park and across the country, renewing calls for tougher action against police brutality.
So far, three suspects have been arrested for the murder.
