Themba Zwane celebrates Mamelodi Sundowns’ goal.

- This comes after a 3-0 win over Black Leopards, while title rivals Kaizer Chiefs drew 1-1 at Baroka FC.
- It is the Sundowns’ 10th title in the Absa Premiership era and their 13th league success overall.
Sundowns Mamelodi they were crowned Absa Premiership champions in dramatic fashion on Saturday after rivals Kaizer bosses stumbled over the last hurdle.
Sundowns beat Black Leopards 3-0 at Dobsonville Stadium to lift the league title after the Kaizer Chiefs drew 1-1 at Baroka FC.
The sunsets were dramatically denied from the penalty spot when Black Leopards goalkeeper King Ndlovu made a double stop to deny Ricardo Nascimento.
Masandawana could not be denied, as attacker Lebohang Maboe scored an important first goal in injury time just before the half-time break.
Maboe then took his second of the game by doubling the Sundowns lead in the 53rd minute.
In the alternate match, Zimbabwean forward Khama Billiat gave Kaizer Chiefs the lead in the 39th minute with a good left-footed shot after an excellent grabbing play by Samir Nurkovic.
Baroka FC, however, struck back in the 59th minute with a set piece as midfielder Manuel Kambala scored a vital draw to break the heart of Kaizer Chiefs.
This is how things ended with Sundowns winning by a three goal margin to clinch the title by two points.
It was his 10th title in the Absa Premiership era and his 13th league success overall.
Polokwane City dropped to the GladAfrica Championship after finishing 16th, while Black Leopards will compete in the promotion / relegation tiebreaker after finishing 15th.
