His funeral took place at his family’s home before a church service prior to his burial at Klipspruit West Cemetery.

The murdered Eldorado Park teenager who died last week, allegedly at the hands of police officers, was buried early Saturday morning.

Residents in the area awoke to scenes of his coffin being transported down the street to his family’s home where the funeral was held.

According to reports from the place, the service will be followed by an honor guard who will see his coffin transferred to a church near his home.

Thereafter, it will be placed in its final resting place at Klipspruit West Cemetery.

The death of the 16-year-old, who had Down syndrome, sparked outrage both in Eldorado Park and across the country, renewing calls for tougher action against police brutality.

So far, three suspects have been arrested for the murder.

Due to the Covid-19 funeral protocols, residents of the area have gathered along the street, at some distance from the house, to pay their last respects without disobeying the Covid-19 protocols.

Update: An earlier version of this article said that Nathaniel would be buried in the Avalon Cemetery. It has since been corrected to reflect that he was interred at Klipspruit West Cemetery.
