Meanwhile, in another incident, the provincial police were also searching for a teenager who disappeared after being sent back from school.
Fight
The 14-year-old Thabang Thulare is from Mogaung village and had been involved in a fight at school when he was instructed to go home and return to his parents, Ngoepe said.
“It is alleged that her parents were unavailable, and since then she has never come to school or returned home.
“His mother was concerned after receiving her school bag with books from one of the community members. Apparently the bag was found abandoned on the R574 road next to this town,” said the police spokesman.
On Thursday, Ngoepe told News24 that the police were still looking for the missing people and had not yet found them.
He said investigations were also continuing.
Anyone with information that could lead to the police finding the two missing persons was urged to contact the crime arrest number (08600 10111) or visit the nearest police station.
