Hodes also said that a security report had been compiled and that “it was discovered as a fact that the IP address of my client, Ms Mokonyane, was hacked on August 29 and 30 from Pretoria. Therefore, there is a report positive of a piracy, there is a threat to security … therefore, with respect, he asks that his appearance be signed here “.

She also said that after Mokonyane’s appearance on the commission, they had received questions from City Press regarding the guesthouse owner Frederik Hendrik Coetzee’s statement to the commission and that the publication wanted her to comment on it. .

Coetzee is the owner of the Victorian Guesthouse in Krugersdorp.

He said: “Every time she testifies, there is a subsequent murder of her character in the media and leaks by journalists.

“He wants to have some purpose. He wants to achieve some purpose in this matter.”

Zondo said the issue of the leak of Coetzee’s affidavit was “unacceptable.”

“It is a matter of great concern to us. It is unacceptable … yes, we have not pressed charges, but we have spoken very strongly and there seems to be a problem.”

“I am not saying that we are not going to press charges. So far we have not done so because we were hoping that they would come to their senses and stop this habit. I just wanted to say that about that,” said the vice president of the Supreme Court. .

During his testimony, Coetzee told the commission that the guesthouse had hosted Mokonyane’s 40th birthday celebrations in 2003, contradicting his earlier testimony in the commission.

He said the event was organized by Agrizzi.

Coetzee also told Zondo that it was the first high-profile government function organized by the guesthouse.

He said, initially, that they expected to serve 80 guests, before the number increased to 120. However, on the day of the performance, the number increased to 174 people.

Mokonyane is currently testifying before the commission.
