Pretoria – Three people believed to be part of a kidnapping were arrested in Pretoria on Wednesday, as police investigated a kidnapping incident in which a 76-year-old man was reportedly held hostage overnight while his accounts banks were emptied at nearby gas stations.

“The identified facilities were accessed; one more suspect from the facilities was detained,” Ramovha said.
“The shocked but uninjured victim was rescued and her vehicle was also recovered from the scene. The vehicle that was used in the commission of a crime has been seized, as well as cash, cell phones and bank cards of the victims for further investigation ”.
He said the three suspects, aged 34, 36 and 37, are expected to appear in a Pretoria courthouse within 48 hours. “They have been charged with kidnapping, extortion and possession of stolen property,” Ramovha said.
