JOHANNESBURG – Labor Minister Thulas Nxesi says that the entire management of the Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF) has been suspended.
Nxesi’s announcement follows the Auditor General’s briefing, which found flaws in the FIU system during the shutdown.

Nxesi says the suspensions will give the Special Investigation Unit an opportunity to conclude its investigation.
“The Directorate General of the Department of Labor and Employment has suspended the management of the FIU, the CFO, the COO and the head of the supply chain. These movements allow the SIU to fully conclude its forensic investigations,” he said.
