JOHANNESBURG – Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development Minister Thoko Didiza said on Wednesday that the government’s position on farm killings had not changed and that it remained concerned about rural security.
Didiza said that anxiety and uncertainty should not be tolerated.
“The government is concerned and has always been concerned about rural security that includes farmers and agricultural workers. If you look at the effects, for example, once you really have an insecure environment, it affects the confidence of those who want to participate in the sector. In addition, it generates anxiety in the people who are in the sector ”, said the minister.
