Marca says Atlético de Madrid are concerned about Arsenal’s continued interest in Thomas Partey.
The Ghanaian midfielder is one of Arsenal’s main transfer targets this summer as he rebuilds his squad with Mikel Arteta.
The report further claims that Partey has become a target for other major European teams such as Juventus and PSG, but Arsenal is the team that has maintained an unwavering interest in signing him.
Marca further states that the Spaniards are now worried they might lose him to the Gunners this summer.
This is because his buyout clause of around 50 million euros no longer seems great in light of clubs signing players for a lot of money.
The Spaniards now seek to get him in a new contract and increase his salary and his termination clause according to the same report.
Arteta has signed Willian and will soon complete the signing of Gabriel del Lille.
When the Brazilian defender joins, he will continue to be the midfield to be strengthened and Arsenal could return with a serious offer for Partey.
They will have to replace Dani Ceballos, who was on loan to Emirates last season, even if they have no plans to land another midfielder because the Spaniard played a major role in their success last season.
