JOHANNESBURG – Gauteng could see its first thunderstorm on Tuesday, just in time to strike on spring day.
While the Western Cape is experiencing colder temperatures, the South African Meteorological Service (SAWS) said Monday that Gauteng residents would not be affected.
“We hope to start waiting for our first thunderstorms to approach south of the Gauteng area. And then from tomorrow [Tuesday] going forward, every day, the opportunity looks a little better for us to have our first thunderstorms and showers for the spring season, ”said Celeste Fourie, forecaster for SAWS.
