The four defendants appeared before the Pretoria Commercial Crimes Court on charges of fraud and corruption. They will face additional charges for violating the Immigration Act, the Identity Act, and the Birth and Death Registration Act.

Mabena and Mohlolo posted bail of R2,000 each, while Nyathi and Moyo were not released on bail and remain in police custody.

They are scheduled to appear in the same court on September 7.
