LONDON – Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan have placed black screens around the luxurious Los Angeles home they live in after dog walkers were able to spy on the property.
The couple currently live in actor and director Tyler Perry’s $ 18 million Tuscan-style villa in a gated community in Beverly Hills, after they resigned as members of the royal family earlier this year.
The sprawling property has eight bedrooms and 12 baths, and according to HELLO !, they have taken some steps to protect their privacy after dog walkers and hikers were able to see the grounds as they went out to exercise while coronavirus blocking restrictions start to relax
Harry and Meghan, who have a 12-month-old son, Archie, also have security cameras throughout the property, which is located on a farm with 14 houses.
Its high-tech system uses infrared technology for night vision for added peace of mind.
In addition to the black screens, there are also many trees and plants surrounding the plot to help block the view.
Harry, 35, and Meghan, 38, are believed to have met Perry through their close friend Oprah Winfrey, and their current residence is claimed to be temporary.
A source recently said: “Meghan and Harry have been extremely cautious about keeping their Los Angeles base a secret.”
“His team helped them wisely choose the location for their transition to Los Angeles.”
“The area has its own guarded gate and Tyler’s property has a gate of its own that is guarded by his security team.
“It’s a great place to stay out of sight. Neighbors are mostly old money and mega-rich business types rather than business gossip.
“It goes without saying that the location is stunning, just one of the most beautiful and desirable areas of Los Angeles.”
Meanwhile, Perry, 50, previously shared his sympathy for Meghan after she told ITV newscaster Tom Bradby that she was finding life as difficult royalty.
He said, “Do you remember when Meghan Markle did that interview? She said, ‘Thank you for asking if I’m okay. Because no one ever asks me that.’
“I felt it when he said that. People throw it away. ‘How are you?’ But not many people really mean it. Or pay attention to the answer. “
