Polokwane – Limpopo Health MEC Phophi Ramathuba on Sunday expressed concern over the rapid increase in confirmed cases of coronavirus (Covid-19) in the province.

The MEC called on people across the province to observe Covid-19 blocking regulations and rules imposed by the national government in a bid to curb the spread of the disease.

“Let’s continue to observe the rules and regulations as mandated by our government,” it said in a statement. “Washing your hands with soap or using an alcohol-based disinfectant, observing social estrangement, wearing face masks or clothing in public, and staying at home should continue to be our daily practice. By doing so, we can prevent the spread of this virus.” . Ramathuba said.

Limpopo recorded his first confirmed case of Covid-19 on March 16. The health department has said that since then the number of confirmed cases has gradually increased.
