Ander Herrera says it was a pleasure playing alongside Paul Pogba at Manchester United, and urged him to stay at Old Trafford.

Herrera left United when his contract expired at the end of the 2019 campaign, and he signed with Paris Saint-Germain.

He has maintained a strong bond with the club and believes that Man United is about to turn a corner under the management of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Pogba has been linked to a departure from United in recent seasons, with Real Madrid and Juventus among the clubs interested in signing him.

But Herrera insists that the World Cup winner has a future at Old Trafford, despite its ups and downs, and believes he can form an excellent relationship on the field with Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford.

Herrera told him ESPN: “I haven’t spoken to him for a long time and I don’t know what he wants to do. It’s true that every day in the newspapers we can read that he wants to leave, or that Manchester United is going to sell him, but I really don’t know what he wants to do .

“He can be the best midfielder in the world. In terms of qualities, he has everything. I have never seen a midfielder who has all the qualities he can have.”

“He can get a lot of balls back, he can throw the ball, he can score goals, he can defend, he can attack, he is so strong and tall.”

“It’s true that since he came to the club he had some ups and downs, but when it was good, it was really good. Incredible. It was a pleasure to play with him.”
