London – Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan, have cut ties with some of Britain’s top newspapers and said they will adopt a “zero commitment” policy with them, British media reported Monday.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who quit their royal jobs late last month, sent a letter to The Sun, Daily Mail, Daily Express and Daily Mirror on Sunday night detailing their new policy, the British media, including the Guardian, Financial Times and ITV News, reported.
“This policy is not about avoiding criticism. It is not about closing the public conversation or censoring accurate reports,” the couple’s representatives said, according to the media.
“The media have every right to report, and indeed have an opinion on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, good or bad. But it cannot be based on a lie.”

The couple said they would no longer “be offered as a currency for a clickbait and distortion economy,” according to reports.
In their report, the Financial Times said that under the new policy, tabloids would be prohibited from receiving updates and photos of the couple, and could also be prevented from attending their media events.
