After being recognized everywhere as one of the “kindest” people on television, Ellen DeGeneres appears to have angered her stars as things take a 360-degree turn for her.
The chat show host had no choice but to remove her video from her latest remote episode of Ellen’s show where she makes a joke that viewers didn’t like.
While the video comparing his multi-million dollar mansion to a jail was removed, the comedian has yet to issue a formal apology after sparking an online storm over the callous comment.
During the episode, Ellen saw her attempt to lighten things up with her counterproductive humor.
“This is like being in jail, it is what it is. It is mainly because I have been wearing the same clothes for ten days and we are all gay here. The jokes I have,” he said.
The comment was not to the liking of Twitter users who quickly reminded Ellen of her privilege and criticized her for the “muffled tone” comment.
Users noted how current conditions in detention centers are extremely dangerous, as many inmates in the United States see an increase in cases of coronavirus within confinements.
Last month, the television personality came under fire after her former employees and employees spoke about her dire experiences working with her.
Comedian Kevin T Porter was the one who sparked the online trend after calling him “one of the baddest people in the world.”
Shortly after that, a series of gruesome experiences came to light when the waiters and some of the television workers shared their experiences of the “ridiculous” rules on sets.
It was revealed that DeGeneres would send her staff home if they “smelled” or hadn’t chewed gum before talking to her. She was even accused of firing nail polish employees.
