The Red Devils star can play in either wing or the 10th position. He can also operate in a more orthodox central midfield role.

And that kind of versatility could appeal to Hammers boss David Moyes.

The Scotsman actually loaned the versatile ace to Birmingham City and Brighton, respectively, when he was in charge of Old Trafford during the 2013/14 season.

90 Min states that Moyes could try to bring West Ham to West Ham this summer.

However, Lingard has been woefully out of shape this season.

Statistics

The Manchester United man has failed to record a goal or an assist in 20 Premier League games so far this season (Transfermarkt).

In those 20 outings, Lingard has averaged just one shot, one key pass and 0.7 dribbles per game (Who Scored).

For a supposed creative gamer, those numbers are really poor.

The fall of the England international this season has really been quite dramatic. According to a Manchester Evening News report, United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants Lingard to be sold this summer.

The 27-year-old is valued at around £ 30 million by Manchester United according to GMS. And for that kind of money, West Ham should stay away.

The English attacker is well known for putting as much effort off the field on social media as he does on it.

And the united man would be just another expensive recruit that the Hammers could simply do without.
