Veteran Indian actor Shabana Azmi had recently been through a terrible traffic accident that left fans and supporters baffled.
Detailing the horrible moment when his wife was fighting for his life, Javed Akhtar, famous lyricist and poet, said Film partnerAnupama Chopra, what were your initial thoughts after the accident.
“Who would have thought that we would have such a calamity? Shabana’s accident was truly fatal. We were in the other car, she was sleeping in the car behind us and when this accident happened and we came back, the first thought was “Is she alive?”
“Because the entire car was crushed, it had become a pile of garbage. Somehow we took it out, it was unconscious with blood all over the face and it was only from the nose. There were no injuries, but the whole body has suffered a lash so strong that it will take a little time to be completely normal, “he said.
Earlier this year, in January, Shabana was seriously injured in a traffic accident on the Mumbai-Pune Express highway.
The actor was traveling with her husband, Javed Akhtar, when her car collided with a truck on the Pune road around 3:30 p.m. Soon after, she was rushed to the MGM hospital in Panvel.
