OnePlus may have dropped the popup camera for the OnePlus 8 series, but it looks like another Android brand still sees potential in the popup.
A new set of CAD renderings of Pigtou and dripper Onleaks reveals what appears to be a new Samsung Galaxy phone with a pop-up selfie camera.
In addition to the pop-up camera, we can deduce from the renderings that the phone will have a full screen, a triple rear camera, a USB-C port and a rear physical fingerprint reader.
It is not known what model of Galaxy it could be, although considering even the Galaxy A31 has an on-screen fingerprint reader and four rear cameras, it seems likely based on the above that this phone will be a low-end device, perhaps even part of the M series line.

Whatever the phone turns out to be, it’s great to see at least one more phone possibly on the horizon with the divisive and increasingly scarce pop-up camera. Samsung has previous experience with strange camera modules with the Galaxy A80, so this latest design is rather tame in comparison.
We’ll be on the lookout for more information on Samsung’s pop-up camera phone. In the meantime, be sure to share your thoughts on design in the comments.
