Eminem said during a phone call with Michael Jordan that he jokingly asked the basketball champion to come to Detroit so he could “dive into it.”
He recalled a phone conversation with Jordan during a recent interview, days after the premiere of Michael Jordan’s documentary “The Last Dance.”
The Detroit rapper said he was on a phone call with Jordan to discuss a collaboration on the show and thought it wouldn’t happen because of his prank.
“He’s super cool, and everything was fine until we got to the end of the phone call and I said, ‘Hey, when are you going to come to Detroit so I can get wet?'” Marshall Mathers said.
Speaking about Jordan’s reaction, Slim Shady said: “It was crickets. I don’t remember exactly what he said, but I think he just said, “Ha ha ha.” As serious. And I remember hanging up the phone saying, “OMG, I think I could have screwed it up.”
Speaking of his joke, he said he knew it was ridiculous to even think that he could dive into the 6 “6” basketball legend.
