JOHANNESBURG – Three suspects linked to the murder of actress Thandeka Mdeliswa have been arrested, including a man believed to have been her colleague.
Mdeliswa (35) was shot earlier this month at his Mpumalanga family’s home in Evander. She died two days later in the hospital.
It is understood that she was attacked while trying to stop a dispute between the men and her brother. One of the suspects snatched the gun from her friend and shot her directly.
Mdeliswa’s family has described the shooting as an incident of gender-based violence.
The suspects face charges of murder and illegal possession of a firearm.
They will appear in Evander Magistrates Court on Monday.
