CAPE TOWN – Several crime-ridden areas of the Cape have been theaters of violent crime this weekend.

Three men were shot to death, while another was stabbed to death.

André Traut of the police has details about what happened in Kraaifontein on Saturday night.

“Yesterday around 5 pm, a 29-year-old man was fatally wounded in Takudi Street, Wallacedene by an unknown suspect who has not yet been arrested. The motive for the murder has not yet been established.”

Traut said a teenager was the victim of a shooting at the Clarke Estate later that night.

“Last night at approximately 8:20 pm, a 17-year-old man was shot and killed on Greenwood Avenue in the Clarke Estate by an unknown suspect who has not yet been arrested.”

Meanwhile, an 18-year-old boy was stabbed to death, allegedly at the hands of his girlfriend in Kalkfontein.

“Last night, around 6:50 p.m., an 18-year-old man was stabbed to death in an apparent domestic incident on Elizabeth Street in Kalkfontein. The victim’s girlfriend was arrested and she must appear in court once she is accused.

On Sunday morning, another man was shot and killed in Manenberg. His killers are still at large.
