Adele couldn’t stop crying over a book that many other A-listers have raved about!
Adele, 32, has a new love in her life and her in the form of a book! The ‘Rolling In the Deep’ singer took to her Instagram on Saturday 14 August to talk about her praise for author Glennon Doylethe memory Untamme. The 44-year-old’s bestseller is full of so many amazing words about exploring the fun and peace we discover when we stop trying to meet the expectations of others. It’s very heavy on female empowerment, with quotes like, “When a woman finally learns that enjoying the world is impossible, she becomes free to learn how to please herself,” and, “This life is me only. That I have stopped asking people for directions to places they have never been. “
It struck a chord with the Oscar winner who occasionally went on social media. “When you’re done – this book will shake your brain and make your soul cry,” she began. ‘I’m so ready for myself after reading this book! It’s just like I flew into my body for the first time. Whew! ”
“I never knew I was solely responsible for my own joy, happiness and freedom !!,” she continued as she reflected on Glennon’s work. ‘Who knew that our own liberation would liberate the people around us? Because I do not have it !! I thought we were meant to be stressful and restless, confused and selfless like a Disney character! ProBloodyFound !! You’re an absolute don Glennon. ”
Untamme has earned praise from so many others since it was released in early March, just before the pandemic hit the United States. Everyone from Mandy Moore, Chelsea Handler, en Reese Witherspoon, can not stop talking about it, with the latter posting it on their book club in April. The memoir has been so successful that it was adapted into a television series.
Adele, just like Glennon, has been a shapeshifter this year amid the global Coronavirus pandemic. The mother-of-one has kept people’s attention for so many reasons, including her dramatic weight loss, her love for fellow icon Beyonce, and that pesky new album they’ve been plaguing for months.
