Rhode Island, the smallest state in the United States, has the highest number of new covid-1 infections worldwide.
There are more than 100/100,000 new infections per day in just four regions on Earth: Rhode Island, Indiana, the Republic of Georgia, and Serbia.
Rhode Island has beaten them all, in the following race. Rhode Island is now experiencing a new COVID-19 case on a new planet – anywhere else.
Professor of Molecular Medicine at the Scripps Research Institute, Dr. According to Eric Topol:
On the third day, Rhododendron Island has 122.6 new cases per 100,000 population per day with a new COVID-19 infection per capita (compared to 116.4 in the Republic of Georgia and 104.4 in Serbia). This exceeded 110 in just one day. Rhode Island now has an average of 1,299 new cases per day.
This is above the 100,000 rate per 100 vulnerable cases per week previously set as a safe level as directed by Rhode Island Governor Gina Raymondo.
Many experts, including former Rhode Island Health Director Dr Michael Fine, considered the benchmark too high and thought the rate should be a maximum of more than 14 new cases per 100,000 per week. At current rates, Rhode Island is experiencing more than 9,000 new cases each week, and growing.
Rhodes Island has a significantly higher incidence of new infections than other states in New England – about 6 times more than Maine and Vermont, and almost twice as many as Massachusetts. Even in New England .3..3% Rhode Island has the highest positive test rate.
Rhode Island has experienced a steady increase in the number of infections over the past three months, following similar infection rates in other New England states earlier this year:
COVID-19 deaths are on the rise in Reword Island. 35 and 22 more people have died in the three-day week compared to the 2-day average in September.
Hospitalization also continues. An increase of more than 5 times compared to the average of about 0 in September – currently V6 patients are hospitalized for COVID-19.
Massachusetts, with about half of the new cases per capita, today announced the implementation of further restrictions and control measures in an effort to control the spread of the infection. In California, the statewide average of 100 58. / / 100,000 new infections, less than half that of Rhode Island, have implemented population-house regulations that affect most populations.
Created by researchers from Harvard Global Health Institute, Stamford University and Georgetown University, the institute is called Coviduct.org. Now predicts a total of 2.4 million infections in Rhode Island over the next 12 months. One way to look at this might be that at the current rate of new infections, Rhode Island will reach 1.05 infections in about 5 months – each in the state. This will be before the vaccine becomes available to most of the population.
