George Stephanopoulos of ABC News sat down with the president’s niece Mary Trump on Tuesday, making it announced as an exclusive interview on his new revealing book.
The interview will air Good morning america Wednesday, the network said, and on other news shows.
On Monday, a New York judge lifted a restraining order preventing Trump from arguing. Too much and never enough: how my family created the most dangerous man in the world. The president’s brother Robert Trump had tried to stop publication of the book, claiming that he was banned from speaking about the family as part of a settlement settlement for the estate of Fred Trump Sr., the family patriarch.
The book was released by Simon & Schuster on Tuesday.
In the New York case, Judge Hal Greenwald rejected Robert Trump’s argument that the confidentiality clause of the agreement included never talking about the family. He wrote that “what was confidential was the financial aspect of the Accord, which may not be as interesting now as it might have been in 2001. On the other hand, the non-confidential part of the Accord, Trump’s family relationships may be more interesting now in 2020 with a presidential election on the horizon. “
