A UI 3.1 leak has revealed the key Galaxy S21 Ultra features

The cat is finally out of the bag – we know the Samsung Unpacked event is taking place on January 14th. We’ve learned a lot about the Samsung Galaxy S21 series and accessories that will start with the Galaxy Buds Pro and Galaxy Smart Tag. . As if that’s not enough, a new leak will shed more light on the software that will ship with the phone.

New video courtesy of Jimmy has a promo – The same channel that brought us videos of the Galaxy S21 + last month – we’ll see some of the new features of the One UI 3.1, which will debut in the flagship series.

1) Continue applications on other devices
As the name suggests, it will continue to use the same apps you left on other devices signed in to the same Samsung account. Probably at the time of this launch. Only Samsung will work with the internet and Samsung notes. In terms of value, this is exactly what we’ve seen Apple do with Pal.

2) Background videos
Samsung is bundling some cool looking video backgrounds with One UI 3.1. You can choose from a handful of videos, one of which includes a dancing AR emoji.

Check out the full video above.

3) Choose between Google Discover and Samsung Free
We confirmed this last month, and we’ll finally get to see it live on the S21 Ultra. Starting with the S21 series, users will be able to choose between Samsung Free and Google Discover feeds on the home screen – it’s also possible to choose and nothing on the left side of your homescreen.

4) S Pen compatibility
At the moment, this is no news – we’ve heard and seen a lot about the S21 Ultra supporting the S Pen. However, the video confirms that the S21 Ultra Classic will support S Pen features such as Air View, Air Command and Screen me Memo.

5) The appearance of the director
Interestingly, this feature can be found in the One UI 2.0 and was previously thought to debut from the Galaxy S20 series. That didn’t come true, but it looks like we’ll see a feature on the new Galaxy S21 series. It allows users to seamlessly switch between different cameras while shooting. Video does not go into specifications, but the feature can also allow recording from two (or more) cameras simultaneously.

The video also reveals some other features that will be part of One UI 3.1, such as ‘Focus Enhancer’ and the ability to select video resolution right from the recording screen. With the launch less than a few weeks away, we won’t have to wait any longer to get more information.
