A TikTok user named the ‘Star Wars’ movies and their titles now actually make sense

With (technically) nine movies in the Skywalker Saga available for binge-watching, one teenager on TikTok decided to change the titles so that they truly reflected the story. Even Mark Hamill agrees with the first film in the prequel trilogy with the title The Rise of Skywalker, it all makes sense.

The ‘Star Wars’ movies in the Skywalker Saga have titles to describe the movie

With The Rise of Skywalker released and available for binge-watching on Disney’s streaming platform, the Skywalker Saga has finally come to an end. What started when one movie was released decades ago grew into a prequel trilogy, a sequel trilogy, and even a few animated television series.

Each of the movies in the Skywalker Saga deserve titles like The Empire Strikes Back en The Last Jedi. However, one teenager suggested on social media that these titles do not exactly describe what happens during the respective films. The video on TikTok garnered thousands of views, mostly from fans who agreed to change the name.

One TikTok user explained that these names are all incorrect

Why have Attack of the Clones be the title when the clones really attack Revenge of the Sith? Why wouldn’t Rey be the “new hope” for the Jedis, instead of Luke Skywalker? IN Star Wars fan on TikTok, known as Fake Disney Facts, decided to rename these movies so that they actually make sense.

The creator declares that the first Star Wars film in the Skywalker Saga, with the title The Phantom Menace should be mentioned The Rise of Skywalker. (He explains that it’s a much better name to describe a movie where fans literally met Skywalker on his journey to be a Jedi.)

Conversely, The Rise of Skywalker should be mentioned The Phantom Menace (how else would viewers describe the shaky role of the resurrected Palpatine, but as a “phantom menace?”) In between, the TikTok user switches all the titles of the Star Wars films to better reflect their story.

Even Mark Hamill, the actor behind Luke Skywalker, agreed. After watching the TikTok, he tweeted, “NOW it all makes sense!” The tweet earned more than 75,000 likes from Star Wars fans all over the world.
