Missouri attorney Mark McCloskey, who along with his wife Patricia brandished legally owned firearms when they confronted Black Lives Matter protesters at their St. Louis home last month, told “Tucker Carlson Tonight” on Monday that “the rumor is that we will be charged soon” about the incident.
Authorities last week executed a search warrant at the McCloskeys’ home in connection with the June 28 incident. Mark McCloskey told host Tucker Carlson that the officers were “almost apologizing” when they delivered the order.

“They didn’t want to have to be there. They were doing their job. Patty wanted to take a photo to document it and asked if they wouldn’t mind looking away from the camera so people wouldn’t get mad at her.” if their faces appeared on television, “she said.” They all did.
“They, unfortunately, are caught between a circuit lawyer [Kim Gardner] who wants to prosecute us, and his own belief that we did nothing wrong. “
In the June incident, the McCloskeys said they were surprised shortly before dinner when “300 to 500 people” entered the gated community where they live.
“I didn’t shoot anyone,” said Mark McCloskey. “I just stood firm, protecting my home, and I’m sitting here on television tonight instead of dead or putting out the smoldering embers of my home.”
“If he just retired to his house, he would probably burn to the ground, as he just said,” Carlson told McCloskey. “But is this how society should function? I mean, shouldn’t someone in authority in the state of Missouri come to your aid right now?”
Carlson has previously criticized Republican Missouri Governor Mike Parson for being largely on the sidelines while the McCloskeys have been investigated by authorities.

“From my point of view, when you have certain elements of society that encourage violence, [and] At the same time, asking the police to withdraw, what is the only possible result? “McCloskey replied.” The only possible solution is for citizens to stand up to defend themselves, and I am afraid that what is being promoted is to make citizens stand firm. stand up and defend themselves so that they can be cooled and abused in the same way that we are. “
McCloskey also criticized the media coverage of his ordeal.
“The traditional media is right behind the mafia, I mean, we are no longer allowed to use that word, a large crowd of angry people and are supporting these entities that are, from my understanding, Marxist and opposed to everything I am firm and loving and close, “he said, before adding,” We have received tremendous support from ordinary people … We have received calls from all over the world, I received a nice letter from a lady in Ireland congratulating us on taking a anti-violence position, so I think the vast majority of Americans wish they could do something.
