A huge ‘fireball’ coming out of the sky and crashed in China’s Horizon, watch the viral video


On Wednesday, a huge ball of fire fell from the sky and crashed in the northwestern Chinese city of Yushu. A footage of the incident shared on YouTube shows a huge fireball scattering in the sky, lighting up the dark sky over southern China.

In several footage captured by locals, a ball of fire, suspected as a meteor, illuminates the sky and sinks in Nangian County in northwest China’s Qinghai Province. Locals reported hearing loud bangs and the incident is said to have taken place on December 23 at 7 p.m.

According to a report by Rajinda Sandesh, It is not yet clear what the burning spheres are but local media suggest that an unidentified object object could be a bright meteor. It has also been suggested by some experts that the object was a bold, extremely bright meteor. Yu Jun, editor-in-chief of the Chinese science website Guoker, told the media that he looked like Bollywood. It has also left some meteorite fragments somewhere around the area.

Thankfully, no casualties were reported.

As of December 19, more than 50,000 meteors have been found on Earth, according to NASA. Meteors often fly around the earth but a fall on the surface is rare.

Many people went on social media to share photos and videos of the unusual event. Local children who witnessed the incident while he was taking his child to school said the bolide started as a small ball and three minutes later it grew bigger and brighter.

The passenger from Xi’an to Lhasa noticed the incident from the plane.

Journalist Mete Sohtaglu also shared a video of the incident on Twitter.

The 18-second long clip has been viewed more than 1000 times.

“This is really big! There is a huge fireball in China, ”wrote a Twitter user.

In the video, the huge fireball gets bigger and brighter as it comes closer to the ground and loud bangs are heard. Another user pointed out how such an event happened on the same day in Alabama, where a meteor flashed in the sky. He went on Twitter to explain further.

The China Earthquake Networks Center confirmed in a tweet that it had recorded the incident and also said that a suspected Bolid landed near the border of Nangqian County and Yusu County at 7.25am.
