The Seahawks are now -3 after Thursday’s win, and while many may not be as expected after starting 5-0, they are now entering a very smooth stretch of the season, descending after an 11-day holiday. A week-long match in Philadelphia against the Eagles on Monday night football on l.

As we do after every Seahawks game, we’ve collected instant responses to the damage 710 ESPN Seattle’s voices. This is the same flavor you’ll hear all day Friday, starting at 7 a.m. with Danny and Gallant and at 9:30 a.m. with the Pete Carroll show.

What a great victory! The best game of the year in the Seahawks’ defense was played only when they desperately needed it. On the verge of a three-game losing streak, the Hawks found a way out of being sick. The Cardinals were held to their lowest point of the season with 21 points allowed in defense. They scored 21 runs in the defeat against Carolina earlier this year.

The Cardinals led the league in rushing yards per game at 168.9. The Hawks kept them up to 57 yards. Killer Murray came into the game with an average of 68 rushing yards in a rush. The Hawks defense caught them up to 15 rushing yards on five carriages.

You have to give Ken Norton Jr. and this defense credit. His entire season has been criticized (he deserves it all) and he landed against a divisional rival who broke away from his biggest win of the season. Carlos Dunlap brought two sacks at night and nothing bigger than a game-ending sack on the fourth-and-10 while the Cardinals were driving for a game-bound touch. Give credit to LJ Collier, who sacked and at the same time pushed a holding penalty in the final zone on East Seahoek JR Sweeji, resulting in safety.

The offense, while not as explosive as it was earlier in the season, was more balanced and efficient than any game so far this year: 31 quick attempts 28 passing attempts.

Carlos Hyde had some huge runs and really made a difference in skill level when he ran the ball against the other back on the roster (outside of Chris Carson, of course).

Russell Wilson was exactly what you would expect … efficient! Wilson was 23 of 28 for 197 yards and two touchdowns. It was a matter of their decision making and most importantly, no turning back.

In the true sense of the word, the team won. The win puts CFXX in first place in NFC West.

For a minute it seemed like the game could be a repeat of Week of Weeks, with seconds left in the pretime matchup and the Seahawks taking the lead, giving the Cardinals a chance to tie the game and send it to another overtime matchup (or win) that 2-point effort in the final second. With). With 38 seconds left, Killer Murray snatched a fourth down attempt from Seattle’s 27-yard line.

The difference this time? A p te pass rusher.

Carlos Dunlap – who was several days away from Seattle’s business since the last time the two teams met in Cincinnati – fired Murray to seal the victory and keep Seattle’s hopes for the NFC West title alive. The sidelines of the Seahawks erupted. Dunlap’s final game both ended Thursday night’s tough fight and a slide that saw Seattle drop three in its last four contests.

It’s a big deal to say Dunlap was the only difference, but he played a pretty big role with two sacks and three quarterback hits. There were other important differences.

The key to this game – Russell Wilson right himself after a long turnaround. And give credit to the defense, who put the league’s best racing team on the ground in just 57 yards.

The team and its fans needed to see this. Seattle is the N.F.C. Got the best record in and performed ugly.

When my co-host Jack Apglo and I spoke to ESPN reporter Brady Henderson earlier this week, we asked him if the Seahawks (then the damage to the Rams) were the claimants or the predators. He said they were somewhere in between. I think they’re still tall when it comes to Super Bowl favorites – it’s hard to see them as crop cream, which they still have a few flaws, but this win has pushed them very close.

And exhale.

That win was a throwback Thursday-escape.

Seahawks set up the run. Competent defense played. Didn’t turn the ball. And remember that Russell Wilson doesn’t always have to cook to win Seattle.

W started with a physical performance by Carlos Hyde. His punitive style pushed the Cardinals around 79 yards and touchdowns, with an impressive 5.6 yards per carry. With 28 attempts to pass 31, this was only the second time this season that the Seahawks ran more often than throwing (the second week was against New England).

I didn’t expect much from Seattle’s defense tonight. Why me They were carved in the previous two weeks by Josh Allen and Jared Goff. But the Hawks surprised me. They found Killer Murray later, hit him three times, grabbed him for just 15 yards running, and possibly injured his shoulder. Dendre Hopkins, fresh from the catch of the year, was fighting for the difference himself. Carlos Dunlap, Kandre Diggs, KJ Wright, and Bobby Vegg performed consistently and helped the Hawks to their most disciplined performance of the year.

Rush was not dominant in the game, but his 23-28-, 197-yard, two-TD day was ruthlessly efficient. And it would have been a 25-for-28, three-TD day, if not for a few drops taken by DK Metcalf.

This was not a complete victory. DK’s drops, missed Jason Myers extra point, fumble snap, a .ongi pitch and a stupid individual wrong penalty let Arizona hang longer than that. To make matters worse, Greg Olson and Brandon Shell seemed to have serious injuries. But given the way the Seahawks have looked over the past two weeks and the way the spots from previous injuries have been, I’ll take it completely. Especially the NFC. East sports slate and jets on deck to thicken the column to win it.

On a cold night in Seattle, the Seahawks were able to rely on the winning formula, bringing back some of the echoes of the past with a win in the decisive match against the Cardinals. They all came down to run in the fourth quarter, which did the defense.

Seahawks ran the ball effectively, Russell Wilson was turnover free and the defense won the play making. It’s hard to understand the importance of running game returns in my book. Seattle controlled the capture time and kept the killer Murray off the field. Murray was being hit and kicked when he was on the field, something that didn’t happen the first time he played.

Carlos Dunlap showed you exactly what to expect when the Seahawks trade for him: Pass Rusher on the D-Line. Others stood, but it was the team’s total effort on defense, the best of the year. There was also a moment in the first half when you saw the secondary defender run the side by running the bipartisan. It was Jamal ams dums and DJ Reed, and while it wasn’t Boom isn’t F Booz, it looked like this and they had a great night.

Seattle play the easiest schedule in the NFL the rest of the way and a repeat of this performance (minus a few penalties and drops) will give them 12 or 13 wins and the top seed going into the playoffs. If that happens, they will see this November night as a key win for the entire season.

For nine weeks, it wasn’t your dad’s Seahawks. The games were won and lost due to the massive performance of Russell Wilson’s right hand. On Thursday, Seattle defended their NFC West title hopes by going on their list, which has made them the conference’s model for a decade: punishing game, turnover and defense gained after an anti-quarterback.

Does Pete Carroll from Russell Wilson present his kitchen back? Yes. In fact, I never really realized that Pete would be as friendly as someone throwing a bomb at him, as Wilson did in the first half of the season. Do I agree with the change in philosophy? No. Am I going crazy about the end result tonight? There is no way. They’re still very much alive in the division race and they avoided dropping to three in a row, which Seahawks fans never experienced in fourth grade.

Defensively, tonight was the Seahawks’ best performance in 2020. As a unit, they fielded the league’s best running team 57 yards on the ground. Killer Murray was definitely hampered by a shoulder injury during most of the game, but Seahawks did a tremendous job of never letting him be truly comfortable and showed it. Three sacks, seven QB hits, and a deliberate grounding call key set the safety later in the drive. And before I forget, can general manager John Snyder go ahead and use Carlos Dunlap’s 2021 option? How it unfolded in just three weeks. One of the fun things to do right now is compare the total of his 2020 sacks to Jadevin Clooney’s. Go ahead, I’m here waiting for you.

The next four games for the Seahawks are as skillful as can be found. I would be surprised if Wilson needs to be thrown 40-50 times in any of those matchups. Like it or not, Pete Carroll got in his way on Thursday night and Seahawks is still the big brother in the division.

The Seahawks proved tonight that they are still the team to beat in the NFC West.

Hawks Pete Carroll returned to play football: 31 runs and 28 passes. Russell Wilson was 23 of 28 with 197 yards, two touchdowns and zero turnover. Its excellent capacity. It will be interesting to see if the Seahawks go back to their old style of footy with the end of their season.

The defense was also good tonight. Two of the three Cardinal TD drives were aided by Seahawks penalties. The most surprising aspect of the defense tonight? The Hawks allowed only 57 rushing yards on 18 carries. The Cardinals were the team that led the NFL in the running yards with over 160 runs per game, and the Seahawks took it completely. Seattle have dropped 34 points in their last six quarters, and that may not seem like it, but they are slowly improving.

The Seahawks are now leading 7-3 in their last six games where they play the Eagles, Giants, Jets, Washington Football Team, Rams and Ers 49 players. The Seahawks have always been the second half team, and they will likely have adjusted themselves to run the table.
