The Boston Celtics have been contenders for the championship for many years. They were recently knocked out of the Eastern Conference Conference final by the Miami Heat in a bubble. Now, the focus will shift to the 2020 NBA draft.

For the fifth time in seven years, Celtics will hold multiple 1st round picks in the 2020 NBA Draft. This is the third time in this stretch that they have three. Danny Gee has built Boston using draft capital and this year, he will be able to use it to trade and get the player he needs.

Something to look forward to is that the Celtics allegedly trade and are willing to pack up their first three round picks to help ease a potential deal, according to Ringer’s Kevin Onconner.

It is unlikely that the Celtics are currently making all three of those elections. If they feel the need, they have plenty of space to move on to the big man or point guard. This is a top heavy draft class and the Celtics are not at that top yet.

If they decide to move forward in the 2020 NBA draft, here are five possibilities that the Celtics could focus on. They have different positions across the court that can help the team argue more next season.
