SONORA, CA – Tuolumne County Public Health has confirmed 30 new covid-19 infections, 6 inmate cases, 24 community cases and the 17th confirmed death related to the virus. The deceased was a COVID-positive woman admitted to the hospital earlier in her 80s who was a resident of a local care facility. Four previously discharged people are currently hospitalized for a total of CO COVID-19 positive individuals.
In new cases, Tuolumne County Public Health says all new cases fall apart at home. In the new community cases 1 man and 2 women under the age of 20, 2 men and 1 woman in the 20s, 1 man and 1 woman in the 30s, 1 man and 2 women in the 40s, 1 woman, 2 males and 60s in the 50s 3 females in the 90’s, 1 male and 5 females in the 70’s, and 1 male in the 80’s. 43 persons have been released from solitude.
A public health outbreak was reported at the Sierra Conservation Center (SCC) this week. There were 102 cases between December 5 and December 9, another 16 yesterday and 6 more today, a total of 140 cases involving 3,092 prisoners. S.C.C. Total staff members at have tested positive, 84 have returned to work, 1 is active and 20 new cases have been reported in the last 14 days. Toulumne County has a total of 1,547 cases involving 140 prisoners with 273 active community cases and 1,117 recovered cases. Total known tests 18,549. Tuolumne is part of the San Joaquin Valley area where%. %% of ICU beds are available as of Thursday. That low bed percentage boosted regional investment on home orders in December. It is very important for public health officials to be aware of the safety measures and business / activity guidelines recommended by the public to keep themselves and those around them safe and healthy.
These steps include:
- Proper wearing of face ing; Cover your mouth and nose around them whenever you are in public or whenever they are not in your home.
- Wash your hands; Rinse with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or wash thoroughly with hand sanitizer if soap and water are not available.
- Physical distance; Maintain at least 6 feet between you and those who are not part of the bubble in your home.
- Avoid gatherings; The more people you meet, the higher your risk of getting infected or infecting someone else.
