2,510 more Covid-19 cases, 19 deaths were reported Tuesday in Utah


SALT LEEK CITY – The number of quota-1 cases rose to 35,1010 on Tuesday, according to the Utah Health Department.

The state now estimates that Utah has 60,617 active cases of the disease. The seven-day average number of positive cases currently stands at 2,292, according to the health department. The positive test rate per day for that period is now 22.1%. State data shows that currently 575 Kovid-19 patients are hospitalized in Utah.

The new numbers indicate a 1.3% increase in positive cases since Monday. In Utah, 1,432,225 people have been tested for Covid-19 so far, with 13.8% having tested positive for the disease. The state has seen an increase in the 9,146 tests taken as of Tuesday.

Of the 575 Kovid-19 patients hospitalized in Utah, 205 are in intensive care units, according to state data. As of Tuesday, about 79% of Utah ICU beds have been filled, with about 86% of referral hospitals in the state having 16 facilities in the state that have the capacity to provide the best COVID-19 care, according to the Department of Health.

State data shows that as of Tuesday, about 48% of non-ICU hospital beds were full.

  • A Salt Lake County man between the ages of 65 and 84 was hospitalized when he died.
  • A Utah County man over 85 years old and a resident of a long-term care facility
  • A man from Salt Lake County, aged between 45 and 64, was hospitalized when he died.
  • A man from Cash County, who was over 85 and died at the time, was not hospitalized.
  • A Bux Elder County man aged 45 to 64 was hospitalized when he died.
  • A man from Utah County, who was over 85 years old and died when he was hospitalized
  • A man from Utah County, aged between 25 and 44, was hospitalized when he died.
  • A man from Washington County, Washington, who was over 85 years old and was hospitalized when he died
  • A Weber County woman, aged 45 to 64, was not hospitalized when she died.
  • A woman in Salt Lake County who was over 85 years old and a long-term care facility resident.
  • A Salt Lake County woman, aged 65 to 84, was not hospitalized when she died.
  • A woman from Utah County, aged between 65 and 84, was hospitalized when she died
  • A woman from Utah County who was over 85 years old and a resident of a long-term care facility
  • A Salt Lake County woman who was over 85 years old and was hospitalized after her death
  • A Weber County woman, aged between 65 and 84, was hospitalized after her death

On Tuesday, an average of 198,216 confirmed cases of UCHID-19 were completed, with 8,279 hospitalized and a total of 890 deaths from the disease. A total of 136,709 Utah Covid-19 cases are now estimated to be recovered, according to the health department.

Method:

Test results now include data from PCR tests and antigen tests. Positive COVID-19 test results are reported to the health department immediately after confirmation, but negative test results cannot be reported for 24 to 72 hours.

The number of cases reported daily by the Utah Department of Health includes all cases of Covid-19 because of the outbreak in Utah, currently those who are infected, those who have recovered from the disease and those who have died.

Definition of a retrieved case Anyone who was diagnosed with Covid-19 three or more weeks ago and did not die.

Deaths reported by the state are usually reported two to seven days earlier, according to the health report. Some deaths may be later, especially if the person is from Utah but has died in another state.

The Department of Health reports both confirmed and probable COVID-19 case deaths as defined by the Council of State and Territorial Epidemiologists. Death counts may change once case investigation is completed.

For deaths reported as Covid-19 deaths, according to the Department of Health, if the person did not have Covid-19, the person would not have died.
