the Toyota Venza is backBut it’s not the scruffy-looking minivan you probably remember. This time, it’s a sleek crossover SUV with standard hybrid power and premium advancements to its name.

We have our first go in 2021 Venza We were recently impressed, but we also know how much the crossover will cost when it hits dealerships this summer. Toyota said Wednesday that the latest addition to its line will start at $ 33,645 after a destination charge of $ 1,175 for the entry-level LE tier. Get on a mid-grade XLE and the price jumps to $ 37,175 and a Venza Limited crest $ 40,000 to $ 40,975.

The price, no matter which version, includes an all-wheel drive design, an increasingly popular option. A unique hybrid powertrain is standard on all Venzas – it’s a 2.5-liter inline four-cylinder electrified engine paired with three electric motors for a total of 219 horsepower. EPA hasn’t gotten the Venza, but Toyota believes it will return 39 miles per gallon combined. That will completely outpace rival crossovers, which tend to return combined fuel economy figures in the low 20 mpg range. On the other hand, many rivals still offer V6 or four-leg turbo engine options.

The Venza is certainly not exactly an affordable vehicle, but it also comes at a great price. Every Venza comes standard with Toyota Sense of security System 2.0, which brings together most of the popular active safety and driver assistance features. Automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, and traffic signal readings are standard here. Venzas Base has an 8-inch touch screen for information and entertainment and a 4.2-inch screen for the group of indicators. Measurements increase to 12.3 and 7 inches for XLE and Limited versions.

Other notable pieces of standard equipment include a hands-free tailgate, power seats, and 18-inch wheels.

Options are quite limited, but a premium JBL audio system, a panoramic “Star Gaze” sunroof with the ability to freeze glass, and a digital rearview mirror are notable. Heated seats, a popular addition, are on the menu, and buyers can also equip the Venza Limited with ventilated seats. For people who want the big screen and better audio, get ready for a $ 2,300 surcharge on the XLE trim, while the sleek sunroof costs an additional $ 1,400 and is offered exclusively with the Limited trim.

Look for the first Venza models to hit dealers this September.
