2021 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye is set to become the fastest sedan in the world

Dodge has unveiled the 2021 Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye, and it’s about time. The American automaker is currently on a horsepower ramp as it grows its new offerings. Yesterday, the new Durango SRT Hellcat appeared with its 710 horsepower V8 engine. And now, it looks like the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye is poised to become the world’s most mass-produced four-door sedan.

Of course, it starts with the Hellcat’s 6.2-liter Hemi V8. Dodge threw out the 2.4-liter IHI supercharger to make room for a larger 2.7-liter blower. With a larger offset also comes a marginal boost boost. True to form, the new supercharger is capable of increasing 14.5 psi, which is a far cry from the stock unit’s 11.6 psi. Dodge also gave the engine a higher redline of 6,500 rpm.

The result is an amazing 797 horsepower and 707 pound-feet of torque. It has 80 more horses and 57 more pairs than a Dodge Charger Hellcat Widebody, a muscle car that is already considered ridiculous in terms of power and speed. If the numbers aren’t enough to make the new Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye the world’s most powerful four-door sedan, it certainly makes it the fastest. According to Dodge, his new creation is good for a top speed of 203 mph.

But Dodge did not stop there. The Redeye version of the Charger Hellcat receives two dual-stage fuel pumps, stronger pistons and connecting rods, a stronger valve train, and better lubrication. Feeding large amounts of air is a new performance hood, a redesigned mail slot grille, and a new cold air inlet that breathes cooler air from the loader wheel liner. All of these changes result in 18 percent better airflow than a regular Hellcat engine.

Most interesting is the SRT energy cooler of the Charger Hellcat Redeye. The system uses standard air conditioning refrigerant to cool the heat exchanger. Allow charged air to cool an additional 45 degrees. Colder air is denser than hot air and therefore allows the engine to squeeze more power out of each combustion cycle. Dodge said the new Redeye is expected to complete the quarter-mile race in 10.6 seconds at 129 mph.

The vehicle also receives more robust bases including a reinforced drive axle and stronger axles. Combined with new 20-by-11-inch wheels and bulbous fender flares, the new Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye is a menacing sight to behold. It is the only four-door sedan with about 800 horsepower, and is slated to arrive early next year.

Dodge will begin accepting orders for its 2021 Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye this fall. Pricing has yet to be announced, but we expect base prices to be around $ 85,000.
