Jon Rahm is the world’s No. 1 player heading to this week’s WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational 2020. A victory at the Memorial Tournament two weeks ago was his 10th world victory since the start of 2017, making him a favorite when the 2020 WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational first tee starts on Thursday. With five top-10 finishes in 10 starts this year, Rahm is listed as the 11-1 co-favorite alongside world No. 2 Rory McIlroy in the current 2020 WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational odds for William Hill.

However, Rahm and McIlroy will face one of the toughest PGA fields of the year, with 45 of the world’s top 50 players slated to compete at TPC Southwind in Memphis. Justin Thomas and Bryson DeChambeau are 12-1 listed and already have victories in 2020. Before blocking your 2020 WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational selections or participating in any PGA DFS tournament at sites like DraftKings and FanDuel, be sure to check out the Las Latest golf predictions and projected leaderboard from SportsLine tested computer model.

The SportsLine prediction model, built by DFS pro Mike McClure, has been on fire since the PGA Tour’s return in June. Last week at the 3M Open, McClure’s best bets came in at a whopping $ 1,100 as he scooped up a top five pick at Max Homa (+1200) and a top 20 pick at Talor Gooch (+400) .

At the Memorial Tournament, McClure used the model to identify winner Jon Rahm (22-1) as one of his best bets from the start. He also had him as the projected winner for the weekend. The model also won the Collin Morikawa long shot at the Workday Charity Open. He identified him as a top contender from the start despite his high odds, and McClure recommended a straight bet for him to win 33-1. The model also called Bryson DeChambeau taking the Rocket Mortgage Classic.

McClure returned a whopping +788 during the 2020 Charles Schwab Challenge, which included betting in the top five on Xander Schauffele at 13-2 and Collin Morikawa at 9-1. The model was also extremely tall with 30-1 long-range winner Webb Simpson at RBC Heritage. The model had him in the top five from the start and McClure’s best bets included Simpson winning completely.

Altogether, the advanced computer model has reached a whopping six majors entering the weekend, including two of the last three. Anyone who has followed their golf choices has seen some massive returns.

Now that the WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational 2020 field is locked, SportsLine simulated the event 10,000 times, and the results were surprising. Head over to SportsLine now to see the full projected ranking.

Best WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational 2020 Model Predictions

A big surprise that the model asks for at the 3M Open 2020: Bryson DeChambeau, one of the main favorites in Las Vegas with 12-1, stumbles and barely exceeds the top five. DeChambeau has climbed to No. 4 in the FedEx Cup standings with four top-10 results since the PGA Tour resumed in June, including a victory in the Rocket Mortgage Classic.

But he fought powerfully at the Memorial two weeks ago, missing the cut after shooting 73 and 76 in the first two rounds. It wasn’t an important factor in this event last year either, finishing 48th (+1). He has been the longest driver on tour, but precision has haunted him at times as he enters this ranked event outside the top 100 in driving accuracy percentage (61.2). Unlikely this week, the model identified it as a low value, making it a favorite of the 2020 WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational to avoid.

Another surprise: Collin Morikawa, a massive 25-1 shot, makes a strong race for the title. You have a much better chance of winning than your odds imply, making it a target for anyone looking for a big payday. After turning pro a little over a year ago after an impressive career at Cal, Morikawa quickly earned his PGA Tour card for the 2019-20 season with second place at the 2019 3M Open and fourth place at the John Deere Classic 2019 .

He followed up with a Barracuda Championship victory two weeks later for a two-year exemption, and then claimed his second victory three weeks ago at the Workday Charity Open. Morikawa now has an Official World Golf Ranking of 12 and has been the best ball striker on tour this season, gaining 1,098 strokes per round on approach. That ball hit should pay dividends on the zoysia lawn at TPC Southwind.

How to Make 2020 WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational Selections

Additionally, the model says four other golfers with odds of 22-1 or higher will make a good race for the title. Anyone supporting these underdogs could go big. You can only see them here.
