2 injured in hit-and-run during pro-Trump rally in Vatosa

Two people were injured in a hit-and-run crash at the site of a pro-Trump rally in Vavvatosa on Saturday, November 21.

Around 11 a.m., two pedestrians at Mayfair Road and North Avenue were hit by a vehicle and sustained minor injuries, police said.

The strike driver fled the scene.

The drone photographer arrived at Fox 6 News with footage of the incident in which a red vehicle hit pedestrians. Below are still shots of Chris Hammerback’s footage:

The rally took place on Saturday morning at the intersection where the accident took place. About 500 to 600 people are lining up on the sidewalk by law enforcement, Vatosa police said. “Overall, the rally was peaceful,” according to a police statement on Saturday afternoon.

One person was arrested for “trying to provoke a quarrel” – one was released after issuing a compliment for disorderly conduct.

“We appreciate that most of the group remained on the sidewalk that allowed traffic to pass through the area. The Vavatosa Police Department continues to support the first amendment to gather peacefully,” the police said in a statement.
